THE PERSONAL CHALLENGE
For Don, running isn’t just about distance or competition. It’s a personal challenge, a chance to confront his mind and emotions, and a way to reconnect with himself. “24 hour running is just you, your thoughts, and a clock,” Don says. “It’s about seeing what I can achieve within a 24-hour window.”
RUNNING AS AN OUTLET AND TOOL
Running serves as both an outlet and tool for Don. It’s his way of solving problems or escaping them. After a tough day, a run lets him reset his mind in nature, focusing on the sounds around him - the wind, the birds, and the rhythm of his footsteps. It’s a reminder of how fortunate he is to run when others are facing far greater challenges.
Through running, Don learns to push himself to the limit, and finding growth in the process. “Running is about challenging yourself, whether you’re fast or slow, young or old. It’s about becoming better each day.”
