HOW IT GOES DOWN

Three people on a team, with each runner taking turns at the 1000m course, passing on the baton in the hectic transition zone, until you reach a team total of 15x1000m laps.

The transition zone is the chaotic centre of SAYSKY COP RUN and where all the magic happens - because you're both participating and spectating at the same time. When not running, you're cheering and catching your breath. Until it's your turn to go again.

THE ROUTE

The square loop around Sankt Jørgens Sø (the northern section between Kampmannsgade and Gyldenløvsgade) is a very straight and flat 1000m route, perfectly suited for putting the pedal to the metal – and with 15x1000m on the schedule for each team, there’s no doubt you'll get to know the course inside out, for better or worse.

PRACTICAL INFO

Price per team: 300 DKK + fee

  • Categories: Men / Women / Mixed
  • Number of teams/participants: Max 200 teams / 600 runners
  • Check-in: 17:00 - 18:00 at the transition zone, located on the southern part of the path around the lake (look for the SAYSKY COP RUN logo on the map). Only one person per team is needed to pick up the baton and bib number – this helps avoid queues. Just mention your start number when collecting.
  • Start: The race kicks off at 18:30 and we'll keep cheering until the last team crosses the finish line.
  • Parking: Available on the surrounding streets.
  • Toilets: Unfortunately, there are no toilets on the route or at the transition zone, so we encourage you to take care of business before arriving.
  • Warm-up: Since you'll be running fast, we recommend a thorough warm-up. Use the warm-up to check out the route so you're ready when the gun goes off.
  • Music: There will be plenty of music in the transition zone and along the route. As the race is fast-paced, crowded, and not closed off to the public, personal music/headphones are prohibited.
  • Keep to the right: It’s going to be fast and crowded, so stick to the right as you would on a German autobahn – stay right unless you're overtaking.
